BEGINNING OUR EXPEDITION:  Depart USA aboard your flight to Miami to connect with your flight to Havana. 

Day 2: Jan 21

HAVANA:  Arrival at "Jose Marti" International Airport in Cuba's capital city.  Meet your Signature Cuba Travel tour guide and bus driver. Private  transfer to the historic Hotel Iberostar Habana Riviera or Melia Cohiba,  located on the Malecon, Havana's evocative 8km-long waterfront  boulevard. On route, we’ll enjoy a panoramic visit to The Revolution  Square (Plaza de la Revolucion). Conceived by French urbanist Jean  Claude Forestier in the 1920s, the gigantic square today is the base of  the Cuban government and a place where largescale political rallies are  held. It is here where Popes John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and Francis  celebrated an open-air Mass during their visits to Cuba in January 1998,  March 2012 and September 2015 respectively. 

Day 3: Jan 22

OLD HAVANA:  Breakfast at the hotel. Morning: Guided tour of the  Partagas Cigar Factory, founded in 1845 by Spaniard Don Jaime Partagas.  The Cuban-produced Partagás is one of the most revered and  highest-selling brands of cigars in the world. Followed by a visit to  where we will meet with Cuban architect Miguel Coyula from the Group for  the Comprehensive Development of Havana City. Next, we go on a guided  walking tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Old Havana. Continue  walking tour onto San Francisco Square, named after the Convent of San  Francisco, this square was conceived in 1628, with the objective of  supplying water to the ships trading with the metropolis. Lunch at the  family-run restaurant paladar ‘San Cristobal’. Housed on the ground  floor of an early 20th-century mansion, this restaurant serves their  inspired interpretations of traditional Creole Cuban fare. Meet with  popular Cuban songwriter and musician Frank Delgado at Cafe Madrigal to  talk about the Nueva Trova movement on the Caribbean island and enjoy a  musical performance. Café Madrigal, a private bar and restaurant owned  and run by film director Rafael Rosales, is housed in a beautiful  colonial mansion with the walls lined with captivating artwork. Tapas  dinner will be provided. Overnight in Havana. 

Day 4: Jan 23

VINALES:  Breakfast at the hotel. Morning: Day trip to Vinales  Valley in Pinar del Rio, the most western of Cuba’s provinces. On route,  we visit the outreach-community project ‘El Patio de Pelegrin’. The  brainchild of Cuban painter Mario Pelegrin, this humble art gallery and  pottery workshop has become a power horse to promote diverse cultural  and artistic initiatives in the area. Lunch at the private family-run  restaurant paladar ‘Finca Agroecologica Paraiso’. This is a beautiful  organic farm where you will enjoy a delicious traditional Cuban meal  while admiring fantastic views over the Valley. Afternoon: Exploration  of Viñales Valley, containing the most spectacular scenery in Cuba and  some of the most interesting and varied geological formations on the  island. The valley is particularly famous for its great freestanding  rock formations called mogotes. Meet with local farmers that have been  passing from generation to generation the secrets of growing the best  tobacco in the world. We’ll visit a tobacco plantation and drying shed.  Return to Havana City. Upon arrival we visit Fusterlandia, the studio,  residence and wild kingdom of José Rodriguez Fuster, one of the most  important Cuban ceramists and painters today. Overnight in Havana. 

Day 5: Jan 24

BAY OF PIGS/CIENFUEGOS: Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure  to Cienfuegos, in Central Cuba. En route, we will visit the Bahia de  Cochinos area where the final battle of the Bay of Pigs invasion took  place. Visit the Playa Giron Museum featuring the history of the clash  and the remains of the invaders' armament. Lunch at the private  family-run restaurant paladar ‘TIKI’. In the afternoon you will visit  the ‘Korimakao’, a rural cultural community project involving local  young artists and residents. Continue on a bus ride to Cienfuegos, a  city of neoclassical buildings with a European flair. On arrival, we  will embark on a guided walking tour of Cienfuegos Historical Center. 

Day 6: Jan 25

CIENFUEGOS/TRINIDAD: Breakfast at the hotel.  Morning: Day trip  to one of Cuba’s more authentic destinations, Valley both declared  UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1988. Trinidad and the Sugar Mill. Upon  arrival, we go on a guided walking tour around this historic city known  for its cobblestoned streets, pastel-colored homes and small-town feel.  We will go on a guided walking tour around this historic city known for  its cobble-stoned streets, pastel-colored homes and small-town feel.  Visit the town’s Cathedral, Iglesia de la Santísima Trinidad, which most  locals refer to as La Parroquial Mayor. The Cathedral, completed in  1892, replaced the original 17th-century church that was destroyed in  1812 by a hurricane. Return to Cienfuegos for dinner and overnight.  


Day 7: Jan 26

HAVANA: Breakfast at the hotel and morning transfer to Havana.  Upon arrival, we have lunch at the private family-run restaurant ‘La  Terracita’. Visit Cojimar, a fishing village founded in the 17th century  at the mouth of the Cojimar River. This is the harbor where Hemingway  kept his famous wooden boat El Pilar. Followed by a visit to Finca  Vigia, a hilltop villa where Hemingway lived from 1939 to 1960. It is  here where the writer completed some of his greatest works, including  The Old Man and the Sea, Across the River and into the Trees, and  Islands in the Stream. Next, we visit the privately-owned Piscolabis  Bazar-Café where you can buy the perfect gift or souvenir while  supporting a Cuban family. Dinner and overnight in Havana 

Day 8: Jan 27

 Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Havana International Airport for departure.

GROUND/TRANSFERS: Transfers and ground  transportation to\from airport/hotel by Deluxe Air-conditioned motor  coaches. Land Only passengers responsible for transportation to and from  your airport/hotel.

HOTELS: Deluxe Class hotel  accommodations. Priced on the basis of two persons sharing a room with a  private bath and shower. A limited number of single rooms are available  at regular supplement prices.

MEALS: Breakfast & lunch daily.

SIGHTSEEING: As and wherever indicated on the itinerary, including the services of  English speaking guides as well as entrance fees to all places of  interest listed in your itinerary. 

GUIDES: Daily guided tour by licensed Guide among the most knowledgeable in the country.

PORTERAGE: Please note $30 bag fee for 1st checked bag in each direction per passenger. Fees and charges  for the porterage of one piece of baggage per person not to exceed  50lbs, in connection with all transfers and at airports throughout the  entire itinerary are included. An overnight bag may also be carried,  provided it remains in the possession of the passenger at all times.  This bag, although carried personally, is considered part of your total  luggage allowance.

SERVICE CHARGES AND TAXES: Service  charges as required by hotel management and taxes as imposed by national  and/or local governments and/or governments and/or administrations  (wherever these are normally added to the bill.) on the date of this  brochure are included.

Not Included

Excess baggage fees, passport fees, visa fees if applicable, lunches,  items of a personal nature such as in-room service, laundry, etc., soft  drinks, beverages that are not on the regular table menu. Cancellation Policy

The $500 per person deposit is nonrefundable. Deposits and other  payments exceeding the $500 per person are refundable in full up to  sixty days prior to departure. After this date, refunds for unused  accommodations and services will be limited to the amount received from  and/or credited by all carriers, sightseeing operators and hotels.
